Huawei confirms launch date of its in-screen selfie camera smartphone

Now, Verizon and Samsung jointly announced tonight that they will launch 5G mobile phones for the United States market in the first half of 2019. Lenovo will unveil the Z5s tomorrow, Samsung has scheduled an event for December 10 to unveil the Galaxy A8s.

Huawei has confirmed that the device is called the Nova 4 on Weibo and it is expected to launch on 17 December 2018.

Background: The Huawei Nova 4 actually surfaced in a teaser a while back, while it also appeared in real life images a couple of days ago as well. It's about to be the biggest trend in smartphones, and the Galaxy S10 will be one of the phones that starts it all. The phone will have a new design with a display hole for the front camera. Notably, the LCD panels on both the Galaxy A8s and the Nova 4 are made by BOE. While Huawei Nova 4 is launching on 17th December, Samsung Galaxy A8s is launching on 10th December. Hence, it is not clear how the brand would release the new OS update for the Galaxy A8s after the smartphone is launched. The poster shows the launch date as well as a selfie camera punched onto the display at the top-left corner. This brand-new model, which includes the latest Kirin 980 SoC, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage is going to release in China first.

Sandra Oh, Andy Samberg to co-host Globes
The 76th Golden Globe awards are scheduled for Monday, January 7th Australian time, with the ceremony commencing at midday AEDT. They were announced as hosts to the January 6 (January 7 NZT) ceremony, to be broadcast live on USA network NBC .

The images, which appear to be based on CAD drawings of the phone from multiple sources, show a Galaxy S10 that we can't quite make our minds up on. The smartphone will also be seen with a triple rear camera setup that might be of 25MP+5MP+10MP, and the battery is assumed to be of 3500mAh. 24 and 2-megapixel cameras may be included on the front side of the device, while pretty much everyone is expecting to see Android 9 Pie pre-installed on this smartphone. The Nova 3i, on the other hand, features a 6.3-inch screen of FHD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 409 ppi.

Users in select cities are already able to use 5G at home for super-fast connectivity inside, and we knew a 5G phone was coming.
