'Captain Marvel' packs quite a punch in new trailer

The second trailer for "Captain Marvel" released during the halftime of Monday night football in the States, which seems to be the place to drop new trailers these days. It also hinted at the character's sarcastic streak with a few choice bits of dialogue. But let's take a look at some of the big take away moments from this trailer, shall we?

This is also the first time we get to see Jude Law's mysterious character speak. She can also absorb energy.

That debut trailer for Captain Marvel featured a striking moment for those who don't know much of the Kree/Skrull backstory that serves as a major foundation for the upcoming movie: Captain Marvel punches an old lady in the face.

Earlier this year we also found out that both Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson, who play Maria Hill and Nick Fury, will appear in the film. But before long, Carol finds herself back on Earth with new questions about her past.

Clearly Fury and Danvers form a little team on Earth and this is the point in which the hero starts to remember she is from Earth. She's in her Air Force uniform and we can see the wing of her aircraft underneath her, so this is probably the moment when Carol gains her powers.

Leonard will join National Basketball Association prospect Darius Bazley, who is now working for New Balance as an intern. And if you've ever seen a New Balance sneaker, you know just how easy it is to clown on Leonard and New Balance.

Captain Marvel is a survivor (what), she's not gonna give up.

Judging by the trailer, it is expected that Larson's character will stay true to her comic-book roots. Gee, I wonder what that war could be? Which made her go higher, further, and faster than any normal human ever could. According to Rocket Raccoon, who ends up on Carol's ship, the cat is a really a Flerken. He's none-too-pleased to see a Flerken on board, but the two eventually come to an accord.

A second trailer for Captain Marvel has hit the Internet airways, and the reaction on Twitter proves that fans are ready for this film.

Best of all, we have even more of an idea of what the movie will be about.
