TRAI’s DND app now on Apple App Store

Today an Indian report is claiming that Apple has quietly complied with India's Telecom Regulatory Authority over an anti-spam app so as to avoid being delisted by wireless carriers in early 2019.

TRAI's DND app is now available on Apple's App Store for iPhones, VentureBeat reported. Apple had then said it would not modify its guidelines to allow any app access to contacts, see call logs or view text messages. Currently, it is unclear that the version of DND that is released in the App Store follows the additional privacy protection or not.

Apple pulled apps from the Chinese App Store due to unauthorized updates.
