Saudi crown prince arrives in Tunisia amid protests

Sen. Lindsey Graham says that he will push to have Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sanctioned if, in fact, the Central Intelligence Agency report confirms that the Crown Prince ordered the death of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

He is planned to hold talks with President Sisi on ways to boost bilateral relations as well as on political issues of common concern in light of the strategic partnership binding the two countries.

"MBS contributed to murdering somebody overseas and it is not strength to sort of mumble past that", Sasse told "Fox News Sunday", referring to the crown prince.

Adam Schiff, now the ranking Democrat on that committee, accused Trump of being "dishonest" about the role of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was in Manama Sunday night for talks with Bahrain's King Hamad as part of a regional tour, the state-run Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

"I left my children without lunch today and came down to this street, the street of the revolution, to say "No" this murderer and to urge Arab leaders to save the innocent children of Yemen", said Latifa, a stay-at-home mother, preferring to go only by her first name. After offering numerous contradictory explanations, Riyadh said last month that Khashoggi had been killed and his body dismembered when negotiations to persuade him to return to Saudi Arabia failed.

In this October 10, 2018, file photo, people hold signs during a protest at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia about the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, in Washington. "The intelligence I've seen suggests that this was ordered by the crown prince".

The Monday closure of GM's plant in Oshawa, Ontario, was confirmed late Sunday by an official familiar with the decision. About 6,000 factory workers could lose jobs in the USA and Canada, although some could transfer to truck and SUV plants.

Trump shocked US lawmakers and world leaders when he vowed to maintain a partnership with Saudi Arabia, despite mounting evidence that MBS ordered the assassination of Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist who had criticized the crown prince.

A U.S. official told CNN Friday that there is still is no smoking gun implicating the crown prince directly and the intelligence assessment is ongoing.

However, the Argentine media, citing judicial sources, has said that it is unlikely that the nation would agree to investigate the crown prince.

London has not taken any action against Saudi Arabia yet but said it is ready to impose sanctions if evidence points to Riyadh's direct involvement.

"However, we are also a country that believes in human rights".

"A decision by Argentine officials to move toward investigation would be a strong signal that even powerful officials like Mohammed bin Salman are not beyond the reach of the law", Roth said.
