Ivanka Trump reportedly used private account to send hundreds of emails

The "Morning Joe" hosts rolled a supercut video showing numerous times President Donald Trump hammered Hillary Clinton for committing the same act, which was often punctuated at rallies by crowds chanting, "Lock her up".

Mr Trump, a Republican, repeatedly criticised his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election over her use of personal email and private server while she was the USA secretary of state.

Ivanka reportedly claimed that she didn't know some of the rules governing the use of emails in the White House, according to the Washington Post, which cited sources aware of her reaction. He insisted that Trump's email use was different than that of Clinton.

Mirijanian said that, in contrast to Clinton, Ivanka has handed over all of her emails, without deleting any.

Cummings is expected to be chairman of the oversight committee when his party takes the reins in the House next year.

Ms Trump stopped using her personal address for government correspondence after she was informed that she should not be doing so, the official said.

The New York Times adds that "current and former White House officials have said it was characteristic of a repeated blurring of the lines between her government work and other aspects of her life, which used to include her namesake licensing and apparel businesses".

"There are serious questions that Congress should immediately investigate", Mr Evers said in a statement.

Ivanka Trump, U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter and one of his key advisers, a year ago sent hundreds of messages to White House aides and government officials via her private email account, often in violation of federal records rules, a liberal Washington watchdog has concluded. The issue prompted chants of "Lock her up!" at Trump rallies, which continued even after his election win. Following the discovery of her use of private email in fall previous year, the White House launched an internal review of the emails, which was carried out by Ivanka's attorney, Abbe Lowell.

The White House referred requests for comment to Lowell.

"While transitioning into government, until the White House provided her the same guidance they had to others who started before she did, Ms. Trump sometimes used her private account, nearly always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family". Numerous emails were reportedly between Ivanka and White House aides and Cabinet members, detailing her family's schedule.

Earlier in the show, Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz called it a "non-issue", since Ivanka Trump's emails were preserved and did not touch on classified information.

He said the infractions occurred before Trump was briefed on the rules.

Her use of private email address for internal messages was discovered soon after.

Horowitz also revealed that former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Peter Strzok used his personal email account for government business. "And I'm sure the media will have a field day with it today", Marc Short, who served as President Trump's legislative affairs director, said on CNN.
