Facebook management apparently ordered to ditch their iPhones for Android

Actor-turned-artist Jim Carrey's latest cartoon drawing takes aim at Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg in the wake of the latest report blasting the social media giant for suppressing criticism, facilitating anti-Semitism and botching political bias controversies.

According to a report in the New York Times, Mark Zuckerberg and Apple CEO Tim Cook have a bit of a long-standing feud going on and that the Facebook-founder and now asks that his staff use Android phones. The comment made by Cook were published earlier this year and were related to the most talked about data scandal of Cambridge Analytica.

In on broadcast interview, Cook was asked what his advice would be on the situation and responded "I wouldn't be in that situation". "Because that sounds ridiculous to me".

The Facebook CEO is clearly talking about the fact that Apple is infamous for overpricing its products and for not caring about what its fans want. "Furthermore, it's important for us to tell people if and how their data may have been accessed via This Is Your Digital Life", he said.

Now The New York Times reports that the Facebook CEO continues to hold a grudge against Cook after that war of words.

So, are Facebook execs really using Android instead of iPhones? Considering the popularity of iOS in the United States and Android everywhere else, it would help the predominantly American execs better understand the OS that they're not yet using, yet.

It was also reported that Facebook had expanded its relationship with the public relations firm Definers Public Affairs in an effort to downplay Russian interference on the platform and also churn out stories that put Google LLC and Apple in an unfavorable light.

The Facebook Newsroom website today includes a statement admitting that Facebook executives and employees have been encouraged to use Android over iOS.

Facebook and Apple are two of the biggest companies in tech, but the companies have differing philosophies on privacy and data sharing.

Android: Tim Cook has consistently criticized our business model and Mark has been equally clear he disagrees.

In March he showed a sketch of Zuckerberg with a thumbs down and the quote: 'They trust me, dumb f****'.
