Michelle wanted to leave Barack Obama, opens up about seeking marriage counselling

It could be recalled that on Tuesday, November 13, Michelle will release her long awaited memoir 'Becoming, ' where she wrote openly about everything from growing up in Chicago to confronting racism in public life and becoming the country's first black first lady.

Married for nearly 26 years, the Obamas represent the flawless couple. "What I learnt about myself was my happiness was up to me", she told Roberts. "At Whitney Young, I met white kids who lived on the North Side - a part of Chicago that felt like the dark side of the moon, a place I'd never thought about nor had reason to go to", she writes. I stopped feeling guilty.

'I know too many young couples who struggle and think that somehow there's something wrong with them.

Because we're role models, it's important for us to be honest and say, if you're in a marriage and there are times you want to leave, that's normal - because I felt that way.

The Washington Post previously noted that Obama wrote she would "never forgive" Trump for promoting the false "birther" conspiracy about President Barack Obama.

"His foreign policy, and this lack of civility that Trump represents - I think he sees speaking out as exceptional behaviour required by exceptional circumstances".

'Nothing here': Returning to rubble in Northern California
In the cities of Calabasas and Malibu, home to many celebrities, some of them have written about this fire in social networks. Heavy smoke and strong winds hampered visibility for crews on the fire lines and residents trying to evacuate fire zones.

Obama then talks about the pressure of being the first black family to reside in the White House. "Told me I was angry", she said. She also reveals for the first time that she ultimately resorted to in vitro fertilization to conceive her two daughters.

Throughout all of her trials and tribulations, Obama has a simple hope for the future and her legacy - to inspire the next generation. "'Would you tell him about himself?!' And lo and behold, counseling [sic] wasn't that at all", she said. "That is why I am so grateful to my dear friend, Verna Williams" who is now a professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

At a time where our nation is so polarized, I think Michelle Obama's memoir, and it's timing, can serve as a teachable moment. Her visit to the school came a day before she kicks off her national book tour at the United Center, where she will be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey.

President Barack Obama with first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia, right, and Sasha, left, walk on the tarmac to board Air Force One at Air Station Cape Cod in Mass., Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016. We had to make our everything on our own.

"This book is everything you wanted to know and so much you didn't even know you wanted to know".
