At the same appearance this morning, CNN reporter Abby Phillip asked Trump if he wants Whitaker to rein in Robert Mueller.

The Pennsylvania lawmaker answered questions about changes atop the Justice Department a day after Jeff Sessions resigned as attorney general at the president's request.

The court's order directed each party in the case to file briefs by Nov. 19 outlining, "what, if any effect, the November 7, 2018 designation of an Acting Attorney General different from the official who appointed Special Counsel Mueller has on this case". "They held signs reading "#NobodyIsAboveTheLaw", "Protect Mueller: "finish the Russian Federation investigation" and "Mueller probe must go on".
