Two dead, six injured after Florida yoga studio shooting

When he loaded his gun, people started pounding the studio's windows to warn people.

"I knew going into a meeting with her that I had to be ready", she said. "He saved my life".

"Her dedication, caring, leadership, humanity and experience made her one of the most respected, accomplished medical professionals in the state and country", Capital Health Plan said. She participated in an FSU exchange program over the summer and spent four months studying at the University of Wuppertal, near Dusseldorf in Germany.

According to the Miami Herald newspaper, Binkley had attended Dunwoody High School in suburban Atlanta, Georgia, and was a senior at FSU with an English and German double major.

Florida State University President John Thrasher says Van Vessem and Binkley had ties to the university. He was originally from NY, had served in the military and once was a teacher in Maryland.

Numerous disturbing details about him emerged over the weekend.

Court records show that the 40-year-man identified as the shooter at a yoga studio in Tallahassee had been previously arrested for grabbing women. Police say the man, whose identity they have not yet released, shot six people and pistol whipped another. The poster's YouTube username included the word "Scott", Beierle's first name.

In the videos, Beierle pontificated from a dimly lit bedroom, with an unmade bed and a pile of cardboard boxes in the background.

According to the charges, deputies followed the fluid trail to a home in Chippewa Falls, which belonged to Treu and another man. Ten-year-old Haylee Hickle and her 32-year-old mother, Sara Jo Schneider, from the Town of Lafayette, were also killed.

Beierle also mentioned Elliot Rodger in one of his videos, BuzzFeed reported. He then turned his weapon on himself.

"I don't think a female can ever understand the societal pressure that's put on an adolescent male to unburden himself of this stigma that society's put on him", he said.

Beierle was also charged with battery in 2012 for grabbing women's buttocks in a Florida State University campus dining hall. Beierle denied intentionally grabbing anyone and said he might have accidentally bumped into someone.

A gunman killed one person and wounded four others at a yoga studio in Tallahassee, Florida, on Friday evening before fatally shooting himself, officials said. "No act of gun violence is acceptable", he tweeted.

Erskin Wesson, who was at a restaurant directly below the yoga studio, said "we just heard like pow-pow-pow-pow", and it sounded like something falling on a tin roof and rolling. "This monster ruined it". "I am alive because one guy in a yoga class in his bare feet ran at a shooter", she told the Democrat.

The news was front and centre on Yoga Journal's website: "Now, yogis around the world are questioning whether the place they go when events like this happen (read: their yoga studios) are a safe retreat after all". Mann also noted that the "incel" brand of misogyny is often connected to racial panic: He said that while men of all ethnicities have been involved in the incel community, "at least for a good number of them, these more misogynistic movements can often be an entry point into the more racialized or anti-Semitic branches of the alt-right".

The other was named as Maura Binkley, a 21-year-old student at FSU.

She's scheduled to teach a class Monday, and the safety of her students is on her mind.
