Leicester stars fly out to Vichai wake

Leicester City players and officials are flying to Thailand to attend the funeral of the club's owner who died in a helicopter crash.

"Chelsea are all about Eden Hazard but if he stays fit then they should have enough for third, but fourth place was a real poser for me". You gave hope to everyone that the impossible was possible. He brought everyone here and none of this, none of these memories, the family he has built, the culture he has instilled, how he was, would have happened without him.

The Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel says his team's victory at Cardiff on Saturday was "like a cup final" and that the feeling was incomparable to anything else he has experienced in his career.

Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, nicknamed "Top", Vichai's youngest child and King Power's chief executive officer, said last week that he has "received a very big mission and legacy" from his father. "I am proud of this team and the club, the way everyone has handled themselves has been unbelievable".

Gray struck a 55th-minute victor on an emotional afternoon in Cardiff and marked it by removing his top and revealing an undershirt with the words "For Khun Vichai" on it. "We talked about sticking together and being what we always are as a family and how proud we are to be here". The impact on my family has been wonderful.

They are team captain Wes Morgan, defenders Harry Maguire, Christian Fuchs and Ben Chiwell, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, James Maddison, Marc Albrighton and Andy King.

Police assigned to the Citywide Bicycle Unit watched celebratory crowds in the area of 75 Boylston St. following the Sox win. The Dodgers won only once in the World Series, and so the search for their first championship since 1988 continues.

City manager Pep Guardiola recently played down their chances of winning the Champions League for the first time.

It's never easy to play a match under such circumstances with emotions running high. I think everyone is relieved more than anything. "It is a good thing. It was the project of our chairman and it is important to keep this history going".

Striker Jamie Vardy recently spoke of the squad's desire to earn a victory against Cardiff in honour of Srivaddhanaprabha, and Demarai Gray's 55th-minute victor proved to be an emotional tribute to the man who helped transform the club.

The Leicester players and staff flew to Thailand straight after Demarai Gray's second-half strike had secured the points in the Welsh capital.

Vichai's body was flown home on a private jet on Friday and the funeral rites were conducted at the temple while the Abhidhamma Recitation Ceremony will be held every night from yesterday until Friday, three of the nights being royally sponsored.

The win took Benitez's side out of the relegation zone at Cardiff's expense, with West Ham, who beat Burnley 4-2, also edging further clear of the scrap at the bottom.
