Sheriff's office places 'No Trick-or-Treat' signs at sex offenders' homes

The sign placed on the edges of the front yards of registered sex offenders in Butts County, Georgia.

The sign reads: "Warning!"

The Sheriff wrote the signs were placed "in accordance with Georgia Law O.C.G.A. 42-1-12-i (5)", in a post on the Butts County Sheriff's Office Facebook page Saturday. "It says that the sheriff shall in fact notify each community of the presence of sex offenders." he said.

Registered sex offenders can not participate in Halloween in any way.

Without it, he expects more children trick-or-treating on the streets on Wednesday night.

But on the other hand, there are clubs like "Phoenix" or "San Antonio", which only once in the "regular" played overtime. Bookmaker offices, as a rule, estimate the probability of a draw with coefficients from 10.00 to 15.00.

As parents bring their children out for Halloween festivities today, many go to great lengths to take the proper precautions to ensure their child's safety. No trick-or-treat at this address! In addition to the visits, offenders are also getting fliers to remind them the holiday comes with a laundry list of do's and don'ts.

"I felt like it was better and safer for the community to bring them here to one concealed location for a period of time from 6 to 9 o'clock so parents can feel a little bit at ease", said Russ. "But I'm not in the business of making them happy".

The Tennessee Department of Correction was out for their annual "Operation Blackout", which consists of correctional officers doing a routine check on registered sex offenders in the Jackson area. "I hope you and your children have a safe and enjoyable Halloween". Parents can also find the map to registered sex offenders in their area by following the link.
