‘He was like a dad,’ Riyad Mahrez says of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

Leicester City's Carabao Cup game against Southampton, due to be played tomorrow night, has been postponed.

"It's been very hard", said Mahrez.

Match on Saturday continues as planned after club consultation following death of Leicester City owner.

That hardly made for great PR for the most marketed football league in the world, and it probably didn't help the quality on show between two of the Premier League's top clubs, who both play an attractive passing game. His positivity and ability to make everybody love him was clear for all to see.

Numerous players posted social media tributes to a man they had affectionately referred to as "the boss".

Leicester are also planning to build a new $100 million training facility that will bear his name.

Despite his parting of ways, Pearson was full of praise for Srivaddhanaprabha's contribution to Leicester's fairytale.

Reed opens up two-shot advantage in Shanghai
Patrick Reed overcame windy conditions to claim a two-shot lead at Shanghai event with an eight-under-par first-round 64. Fleetwood had been one off the lead after birdieing the third, fourth and 10th and dropping a shot on the fifth.

"As a mark of respect to those who perished in Saturday's tragic events, players will wear black armbands at all EFL fixtures (Carabao Cup and League matches) over the next seven days".

The Algerian now has four goals in his last five Manchester City games, as he has begun to show he most definitely warrants a place in City's starting lineup. On a personal level, a manager could not have wished for a better boss.

"To be honest it's been very, very hard for me", he said after the match.

It was under Vichai's ownership that Leicester crafted one of the biggest fairytales in English football history by winning the 2015/16 Premier League, having started the season as 5,000-1 outsiders for the title.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) are still conducting their investigation into what caused Saturday's tragedy.

Supporters have paid tribute to Thai businessman Srivaddhanaprabha, who oversaw their remarkable Premier League triumph in 2015-16, following the accident, with wreaths, flowers and scarves placed outside the ground.

Police have named the other victims of the crash as passengers Izabela Roza Lechowiczas, Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, and pilot Eric Swaffer.
