Drawing nears for $750 million Powerball jackpot

The largest lotto drawing in USA history remains a $1.59 billion Powerball from January 2016. The pool featured a $1 million winning ticket.

The parent turned out to be one of 10 division one winning entries across Australia in a Lotto draw, taking home a cool $408,233.51.

Nurse Steve Grill is among the winners who's also helping take care of Livingston.

If there's a victor, it would be one of largest jackpots in the nation's history.

WCAU-TV reports 87-year-old Earl Livingston was invited to join the hospital staff's lottery pool, which included a winning $1 million Mega Millions ticket.

Powerball has climbed since the last winning ticket took home the jackpot in NY in August.

A Plant City man claimed the $3 million prize from the Mega Millions drawing that was held on October 23.

Cooper says the victor will owe the state $80 million in taxes if the full prize is paid out in annual installments.

It could be the fourth largest in USA lottery history and the game's third largest jackpot. No one won the top prize in the last drawing but a few people matched all five white balls and won $1 million.

Several states allow online ticket purchases, but they prohibit out-of-state and foreign purchases.
