NBC cancels Megyn Kelly's show after blackface controversy

The "Today" show's 9 a.m. hour will be hosted by other co-anchors come Monday, a spokesperson told Page Six, ending Kelly's run of just over a year at the show.

NBC didn't address the status of Kelly herself, who reports said was negotiating over her multimillion-dollar contract.

The Sunday show quickly failed and her hour of the Today show has grossly under-performed compare to when it was hosted by Tamron Hall and Al Roker - the former of which was forced out of NBC and MSNBC upon news of Kelly's arrival.

The show's 40 or so employees will reportedly remain with Today, NBC News reports, but the future of executive producer Jacklyn Levin is unclear, according to a person familiar with the situation but not authorized to speak publicly. "Back when I was a kid, that was okay as long as you were dressing up as like a character".

"She was paid too much", Stelter said.

Reports that Kelly's show may be coming to an end first surfaced Thursday afternoon.

She made news when interviewing women who accused President Donald Trump of inappropriate behavior and spoke with accusers of Harvey Weinstein, Bill O'Reilly, Roy Moore and others, as well as women who say they were harassed on Capitol Hill.

Virat Kohli becomes fastest batsman to reach 10,000 ODI runs
Kohli also became India's highest run-getter against West Indies when he broke Tendulkar's record of 1,573 runs in 10 innings. Following up on his 140 in the opening match in Guwahati, Kohli was unbeaten on 157 for his 37th ODI hundred.

NBC had allegedly attempted to squash Farrow's Weinstein exposé, which prompted him to take his story to The New Yorker, where it was ultimately published.

The "Today" report said executives will likely be weighing Kelly's departure compensation.

The latest controversy may have tipped the balance.

In a statement, the network news division said the show won't return, a decision that follows fallout from Kelly's on-air comments about blackface.

NBC hired Kelly away from Fox News with incredible fanfare a year ago.

While at Fox, Ms Kelly cultivated a reputation for toughness and a willingness to challenge conservative orthodoxy.

She also created controversy with her stance on race.
