Luke Cage Canceled at Netflix, No Season 3 Order /Film

It's a shame, because Luke Cage had nothing but promise.

The show received good reviews (Season 1 got 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, and S2 got 83%), but a source told THR that "the cancellation was due to creative differences and the inability to agree to terms for a third season of the show".

There was already tension between them as Luke Cage's writer's room had recently been put on hold for a week as Marvel and Netflix tried to figure out a way to change their deal for the planned thirteen episode third season to a ten episode third season.

Netflix's slimmed down Marvel roster comes as Disney - Marvel's parent company - prepares to launch its own streaming service. "With Marvel and Netflix seemingly in intractable and different sides of the disputes, a harsh cancelation became the only viable exit strategy, it appears".

Warren still has to answer for her ethnic identity theft
For the white-grievance set, it's a powerful piece of rhetoric, created to mock Warren and her fellows who think they know better. "I think everyone, of course, has the right to investigate these types of questions about themselves".

"I think our plan for Season 3, Cheo Hodari Coker, our showrunner, is writing Season 3 as we speak". Neither Marvel nor Netflix were willing to bend, and it ultimately led to the show's premature cancellation. Marvel fans, however, were still largely positive about the show, and the reaction on social media overnight was one of shock - compared to resignation at the Iron Fist announcement. So what happened with Luke Cage? With the high cost, there has been pressure on the Marvel series to overperform in viewership.

Marvel's Daredevil first premiered on Netflix in the spring of 2015, surprising television critics and comic book fans alike. This reduces the original Defenders to Jessica Jones, The Punisher, and Daredevil, whose third season just made its debut. Some executives reportedly had issues with the scripts.

This departure may have to do with Netflix' recent moves to cut ties with Marvel as a whole, as other Marvel shows (such as Spider-Man) heads over to Disney's forthcoming streaming service.

The series' second season soundtrack treated hip-hop fans to new music from rap icon Rakim.
