Manchester United and Liverpool to make move for Arsenal star

Ramsey's contract expires at the end of the season and Arsenal recently made a decision to pull out of negotiations after it seemed that the player would sign a new deal with the club.

Aaron Ramsey has broken his silence about reports linking the Arsenal star with a move in the January transfer window. Ramsey eventually joined Arsenal, but officials at the club believe that United will reignite their interest in the player in January.

Liverpool and United are now looking to take advantage of this by making a cut-price move for the Welsh worldwide - offering Arsenal a transfer fee instead of them letting him leave on a free.

The Welshman's contract with the Gunners expires at the end of the season, leaving them in the same situation as with Alexis Sanchez.

Ozil has played well in recent times under Unai Emery and will be desperate to continue contributing with similar levels of performances in Arsenal's upcoming Premier League encounter with Leicester City.

The Welshman is on worldwide duty and he said, "Will I stay for the rest of the season?"

10 dead in torrential flooding on Spain’s Mallorca island
A minute's silence has been held by the Spanish parliament to remember the victims. "We had to swim to try to survive". The flooding also affected phone communications, destroyed two bridges and forced the closure of 11 roads.

This, however, comes amidst his likely move to the Spanish club, Real Madrid at the end of the season.

When asked if he would remain at Arsenal for the remainder of the season, Ramsey replied, "Of course, yeah".

'Everything has been going great with the club. "We thought we were in a position where we had agreed a deal but that's no longer the case", he said.

Rather than letting him go - probably to a rival - for free they are choosing to cash in what they can in January.

The attacking midfielder has most recently been nursing a groin strain, but should be available for selection for the Reds' next game against Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.
