Fox News, Fox Sports, and the broadcast network were not part of the deal but are being rebranded as Fox.

Julie Henderson and Nathaniel Brown, the communications team at 21st Century Fox, are not moving to the new company.

She announced that she was leaving the White House in February, a day after being interviewed for nine hours by a House panel looking into claims of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

During the nine-hour interview, Ms Hicks acknowledged that she had occasionally told "white lies" for Mr Trump, but she said she had not lied about anything relevant to the Russian Federation investigation.

Hicks, one of Trump's longest-serving and most trusted aides, resigned from her White House job earlier this year. Murdoch's son Lachlan is overseeing the company that will form once 21st Century Fox completes its $71 billion sale of studio and cable network assets to Disney. The company also named Danny O'Brien as their Executive Vice President and Head of Government Relations.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch will retain ownership of Fox, the new spin-off company that includes the cable news network.

"Hope and Danny are proven leaders and world-class public affairs professionals", Viet Dinh, Fox's chief legal and policy officer who made the appointments, said in a statement.
