Ruby Rose Rises in First Official Look at the CW’s Batwoman

We knew The CW found the flawless person to play Batwoman when the network first cast Ruby Rose in the role, but now that we've got our first look at her. umm, is it time for the Arrowverse crossover yet?

The 2018 Elseworlds crossover event starts with a special episode of The Flash on Sunday, December 9 and continues with Arrow on Monday, December 10. Staying true to the comics, Ruby is rocking fiery red hair and Batwoman's signature suit in the first look of Ruby in the costume.

"First look", Rose captioned the post, adding bat and heart emojis. Atwood has designed for movies ranging from Memoirs of Geisha to Sweeny Todd, but she's not a stranger to superheroes, having designed the iconic looks for Arrow and Supergirl, among others. Yes, that means The Flash and Supergirl are switching nights.

This year's Arrowverse crossover is already causing a ton of excitement amongst DC fans.

We've known for a while now that Ruby Rose would be heading to Gotham this winter as the CW's very own Batwoman.

This year's crossover is titled Elseworlds, and will involve the heroes heading to Gotham City to investigate some odd goings-on at Arkham Asylum, and is also set to involve Superman (with Tyler Hoechlin returning) and Lois Lane (played by Elizabeth Tulloch). "[Ruby] is terrific in the role, and we're excited for people to see the story".

The character of Batwoman is, despite the closeness of the names, not Batgirl as most Batman-franchise fans know her.
