The report indicated West is meeting with Kushner and Trump to discuss similar issues, as Kushner has been tasked with overseeing criminal justice reform for the White House.

West's wife, Kim Kardashian West, worked with President Trump over the summer to grant clemency to Alice Marie Johnson.

According to people familiar with the matter who spoke to the Times, West plans to talk with Kushner about increasing job opportunities for formerly incarcerated people.
