Panthers say Reid wont be distraction vs. Giants

The New York Giants suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and defensive lineman Damon "Snacks" Harrison felt that they didn't only lose because of an insane game-winning 63-yard field goal. The kick tied the record for the longest game-winning field goal in National Football League history set by Tom Dempsey in 1970. Latimer has the longest passing play of the season for the G-Men when he hauled 37-yard yard pass against the Cowboys. He's now made 35 in a row at home dating back to 2016.

C+ Quarterback: Cam Newton had a great first half, and even executed a tremendous block to help spring D.J. Moore for an 18-yard gain.

Though Newton has been sacked six times, his 28 rush attempts for 4.9 yards per offset that, and No. 1 backfield performer Christian McCaffrey has ben solid too. But Carolina's second touchdown is as embarrassing as it gets.

A+ Special teams: Special teams scored a touchdown when captain Colin Jones fell on a muffed punt in the end zone. "I think all the stuff that was built up inside came out in the wrong way".

His coach disagreed with the comments but Beckham still had no regrets about what he said on Sunday.

I think a lot of wickedness and clear man-hunting in football is too much. The dressing room is leading what's happening.

The Panthers got another weapon back on the field and he made an immediate impact.

None of Reid's new Carolina teammates joined him or stood near him at midfield. The last member of the Panthers to protest was defensive end Julius Peppers, who stayed in the locker room prior to the anthem past year when players around the league protested.

Reid, who signed a one-year deal with Carolina last week, practiced with the first-team defense throughout this week and seemed to pick things up quickly.

Beckham dropped a fourth-and-3 pass from Manning with 50 seconds left in the first quarter.

We'll kick off the Week 5 edition with the Giants' matchup at the Panthers, then look at whether it's finally time to fade the red-hot Chiefs when the Jaguars visit Arrowhead on Sunday.
