Manchester United go two down against Newcastle inside 10 minutes

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes there is "too much wickedness" in football but insists he can "cope with the man-hunt" against him.

Reports emerged on Friday night that a decision had already been taken to remove Mourinho, who is without a win in his last four games - something that has never happened before in his managerial career.

The pressure is mounting on United and boss Jose Mourinho after a string of disappointing results to start the Premier League season.

Off-field problems have been compounded by poor performances during the club's worst start to a league campaign in 29 years.

"I hate the fact that players can get a manager out - I said that he's lost the dressing room but I don't like saying those words". The US entrepreneurs are in constant contact with club executive, Ed Woodward and are happy with continuing with Mourinho for now. I think some of the boys, they are not the man that is hunted, they are not coping well with it. The opening 20 minutes of their opening day 2-1 win over Leicester remains the best they have played this term, yet the team's play is a reflection of their manager's beleaguered manner.

"I am 55 and this is the first time I have seen a man getting hunted", he added.

This week Mourinho told his players that the badge on the front of the shirt is as important as the name of the back, having expressed his concern that some care about United's issues more than others.

Tom Hardy clarifies what he meant from previous Venom interview
Since that sounds an bad lot like a red flag, IGN took to asking Hardy about the quote at the premiere for Venom last night. In the film Hardy plays journalist Eddie Brock who attempts to revive his career by investigating the Life Foundation.

Such has been the viciousness of the criticism, according to Mourinho, it has affected the mentality of his own players.

If the sequence is not broken this afternoon it will be the first time since the 1989-90 season there have been five home matches without victory.

"At half-time we were losing 2-0 and the fans were magnificent to the team and that is fantastic", said Mourinho. We think the fans deserve better.

"What are we meant to say? I have no doubts about that".

During the summer, Mourinho was unable to bring in as many players as he wanted to and a simmering row with Paul Pogba resulted in the Frenchman being stripped of the United captaincy.

"And I think opponents with much more potential than us finished behind us".
