Tom Hardy clarifies what he meant from previous Venom interview

Mumbling around his words, Hardy clarifies that to answer the question of the scene he was most excited in shooting, "I was talking like an actor".

In the film Hardy plays journalist Eddie Brock who attempts to revive his career by investigating the Life Foundation.

Venom's first standalone movie turns out to be like the comics character in all the wrong ways - chaotic, noisy, and in desperate need of a stronger attachment to Spider-Man. Fans were most than just delighted to see Hardy do a flawless impression. He noted that the movie does feature "a few fun Venom-centric moments", but it has "nearly nothing to offer" beyond that.

"I wish there was always a clear, artistic line, but at a certain point, you have to square with the fact that you're getting older, you live in the world and you have needs", she said of taking the part. Since that sounds an bad lot like a red flag, IGN took to asking Hardy about the quote at the premiere for Venom last night. The movie apparently can't decide whether it wants to fully double down on that or be something else entirely, though, so you're in for a mixed bag either way. "When a random feeling bout of hip hop music takes over the theater's speakers early on, it feels as though Venom is trying to identify as something else which has worked for other movies, but suffers from never committing to a certain tone". I can't jump for joy at the news of bonus features we've been used to for 20 years, but I guess I see how that could cause some to dance.

Mourinho: My job is not under threat
Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard are all unavailable to face Valencia due to injury. "I think some care more than others", he said.

Rapper-actor Riz Ahmed will soon be releasing a new single titled Mogambo and Hardy recreated the dialogue to promote his Venom co-star's song. Significant chunks of Venom don't work *at all* but there is some serious charm to the Eddie/Venom relationship.

Fleischer insists that there is only one big difference between what an R-rated version of "Venom" would have looked like and the released version. "He's really famous because he's got the best catchphrase". Could I watch a seven hour movie of my acting?

Venom hits theatres October 3.

Tom Hardy plays the leading role in the movie.
