Fortnite Season 6 Patch Notes Reveal 'Darkness Rises' Theme, Invisibility, and Pets

Season five ended with the game's long-moving cube dissolving into Loot Lake and turning the surface bouncy.

And then there's the new Shadow Stones - they are scattered throughout the map, letting you go completely invisible. Stand still and you'll be invisible to other players.

Whilst you may well be busy completing the season 6 week 1 challenges, here are are the details of the new areas that you can explore.

Shadow Stones offer increased movespeed, and let you jump further without taking fall damage.

And once again, when you unlock all seven of these beauties you'll get yourself another secret skin for the game. Remote explosives, the LMG, Impulse Grenades and Bounce Pads have also been removed from the game.

White House not 'micromanaging' Kavanaugh probe
In a tweet on Saturday night, Trump sought to deny news reports that he was limiting the scope of the FBI investigation. A good agent, he said, "would address Kavanaugh's behavior and demeanor and credibility during his high school years".

There's also an inflatable llama that should make for a very interesting mount.

Three pets appear to be available in Fortnite as of Wednesday: A dragon, dog and lizard. These skins drop at the first tier of the paid battle pass. These pets look incredibly cute, much like you would expect things to work on Fortnite, and they even react to different conditions, like when you are in a fight. The addition of pets will probably be particularly exciting for the Battle Pass faithful, and we're definitely interested in seeing the new pets Epic rolls out in future seasons.

A number of big enhancements have been made to game performance - especially on the Nintendo Switch - and lots have bugs are squashed in this update, too.

Season 5 got started with a rocket launch that created time rifts in the sky and before that Season 4 got cooking with an event involving a comet crash. The entire list of patch notes can be found here.
