Postgame Report: 49ers Lose Game And Garoppolo In Kansas City

Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo spent three and a half seasons together in New England.

Now the 49ers will have to go back to life before Garoppolo for the rest of the season.

Garoppolo exited Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a knee injury, and was diagnosed with a torn ACL on Monday following an MRI exam. The two quarterbacks are close, as Garoppolo revealed last week.

San Francisco must go through the season with C.J. Beathard at quarterback. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will need season-ending surgery on his injured left knee.

The 49ers signed Garoppolo last February to a five-year, $137.5 million contract that included a total of $74.1 million in injury guarantees over the life of the deal.

A former student who was best friends with Ramirez said she never told her about the incident despite how close they were. Avenatti, who has said he's considering running for president as a Democrat, said on Twitter his client is not Ramirez.

The 49ers will have to wait another year to earn dividends on that investment.

Savage spent the summer with the New Orleans Saints in a bid to win the backup quarterback gig, but didn't inspire confidence in the Saints' coaches.

In three games this season, Garoppolo threw five touchdowns with three interceptions, as the Niners head into Week 4 with a 1-2 record.

Beathard started five games as a rookie a year ago, completing 54.9 percent of his passes with four touchdowns, six interceptions, 19 sacks, 6.4 yards per attempt and a 69.2 passer rating that was second lowest in the NFL. "This time around it'll be a little easier".
