More drama in Pittsburgh - WR Antonio Brown absent from work on Monday

Brown's absence from the facilities was originally reported by Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette before being confirmed by Tomlin on Tuesday.

This has led to head coach Mike Tomlin to voice that he will speak with Brown about what has transpired over the last couple of days in order to get the matter sorted out.

The context of that answer suggests he allowed at least a little of the dirt to slip through the screen door, because there would be no reason for Tomlin to discuss an excused absence with one of his most prominent employees. This news comes after we saw Brown behave unprofessionally during the Steelers loss to Kansas City, and his "trade me" tweet, which was even more unprofessional. But by having Rosenhaus send this statement through ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, he is essentially doubling down on making himself a target for criticism. He just wants to win. "We can end this right here and now". He's a great player, don't get it twisted, but there's no doubt Brown is a diva and has some "it's all about me" in him.

The Steelers are a mess, and to their troubles - which include a tie against the Browns, a loss to the Chiefs, and a holdout by All-Pro running back Le'Veon Bell - they can now add wide receiver Antonio Brown. Rosenhaus also has stated that Brown is not actually looking for a trade.

Photos and videos show Hurricane Florence's terrifying aftermath
They are usually bolted to the ground, but the statues' thick pedestals were uprooted and washed away, the city said . First responders have rescued and evacuated more than 2,600 people and more than 300 animals from flooded areas.

It is worth noting at this point that Brown was one of very few Steelers to publicly back Bell when he did not show up to the facility prior to the team's Week 1 game, while almost the entire offensive line and front office criticized Bell in the media.

Antonio Brown, however, isn't giving his boss much choice.

Brown and Roethlisberger have connected for an NFL-record five consecutive 100-catch seasons together, and Brown now leads the National Football League with 33 targets, resulting in 18 catches for 160 yards and one touchdown. Seriously", Tomlin said. "We gave up a few big plays, we're playing a team that's big-play capable. "He's a competitor. He wants to be the best in the world and he probably is".
