New Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion Announced at Nintendo Direct

Ultimate, with a raft of new updates at its Nintendo Direct announcement on September 13.

Nintendo Switch's online service is set to launch soon, but before it does, two new facets of the service have surfaced, and it's more inauspicious news for Nintendo fans. Now they're a powerhouse of studio with millions of Warframe users, many of which are buying into the game's myriad microtransactions, which the developer touts as cosmetic in nature.

Nintendo also announced that "special offers" will be coming for Switch Online subscribers.

For those looking to give the online service a try before fully committing, Nintendo is offering a seven-day free trial, in which players will have access to the full list of features before deciding to purchase a membership. This bundle packs an appropriately branded dock and controllers with a download code for the game and becomes available from 2 Nov, depending upon your region.

Apple announces new, affordable iPhone XR
On the camera front, the XR features a single 12-megapixel wide-angle camera on the rear, with the same specifications as the XS. The iPhone Xs Max is a higher-end version with a 6.5-inch OLED screen , making it one of the biggest on the market.

Most recently, Nintendo released smartphone incarnation Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp in October 2017.

Curiously, players still need an Xbox Live Gold membership to play Fortnite on its respective console, which now rings as odd considering the game's free-to-play status. Not much has been revealed about the game other than it will be released in 2019. As Polygon reports, these are rather old games, but FF10.2 remastered should spruce up the visuals in at least one instance.

Membership details from Nintendo's FAQ.
