Inbox by Gmail to Be Shut Down by March 2019: Google

For users, Inbox was a lighter version of Gmail, an email app focusing on what matter most while still offering some nifty features that weren't available to Gmail users.

According to a report by Fast Company, Google is giving its popular bundled email client service, Inbox the axe early next year. That why they decide to shut down by the end of March 2019.

Background: About four years ago, to the day, the Gmail team announced Inbox.

If you need a little help moving on, but still want tabbed emails, pinning and more, hit the links below the story to learn how. Google has not revealed the exact date of the shut down but it has created a transition guide to help the users of Inbox shift to Gmail. Inbox made a similarly radical change to the way users managed email with "bundles".

Spain thrashes Croatia 6-0 in UEFA Nations League
Spain will host Croatia at Elche's Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero on Tuesday as the UEFA Nations League competition continues. Luis Enrique's charges got their campaign underway over the weekend with a 2-1 win over England at Wembley Stadium .

Inbox has pioneered numerous features that are now part of the new Gmail.

While a transitional period exists, we're hoping that Google uses the time to bring a number of features that Inbox has that are still missing in Gmail such as built-in reminders, the ability to snooze an email from a notification and much more. The company confirmed the news through a blog post on September 12 titled "Inbox is signing off. Find your favourite features in the new Gmail".

The impact: This means that for those that use Inbox for their email, they'll need to look elsewhere to deal with email. "Inbox enthusiasts-some of whom used the app precisely because it wasn't Gmail-will take the news hard, even if Inbox's influence on the current Gmail has been profound".

In a Wednesday blog post, Google said it plans to shut down the email product at the end of March 2019 "to focus exclusively on Gmail".
