Ariana Grande Responds To The Death Of Ex-Boyfriend Mac Miller

Meanwhile, Miller's ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, acknowledged his death for the first time on Saturday by posting a photo of Miller on her Instagram page.

Miller, who had recently released his album Swimming, died on Friday (September 7) after an apparent overdose. It's a simple photo of him sitting on grass, looking up at the camera - a pair of sneakers, presumably Grande's, are visible in the lower part of the photo.

Yesterday the 24-year-old shared a photo via Instagram to express her grief over her ex-boyfriend of nearly two years' passing.

Mac's family confirmed his death in a recent statement, writing: "Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time".

Within less than 10 minutes of the initial report surfacing, Ariana had closed the comment section on her Instagram account, but not after dozens of users posted nasty messages such as "This is your fault" and "You did this to him".

Sick Passengers Taken to Hospital after International Flight Lands at Kennedy Airport
The New York Police Department Counterterrorism Bureau said they were monitoring a "medical situation" at the airport. Emirates Flight 203, which originated in Dubai , was carrying more than 500 passengers and landed around 9:06 a.m.

The tribute to Ariana featured her surname, Grande, which was emblazoned across the left side of his ribs. Substance abuse is something the U.S. musician had openly struggled with in the past, and his recent album, Swimming, features poignant lyrics about finding himself.

The song that Sir Elton dedicated to Mac was his classic "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me", a fitting one for a tribute to the recently deceased rapper.

"I'm a very sensitive person... but this Mac Miller shit got me fucked up", Gambino said, according to Rolling Stone.

From the outpouring of support and messages of love, it seems Miller's music will live on in locker rooms across the National Basketball Association for years to come. Khalifa tweeted, "Praying for Mac's family and that he rest easy".

Earlier this year, Miller told Beats 1's Zane Lowe that while he felt Grande's engagement to comedian Pete Davidson was "a little strange", he didn't see it as negative.
