American Horror Story: Apocalypse trailer features familiar faces from Ryan Murphy anthology

In the new trailer, we catch glimpses of the Supreme Witch, Cordelia Goode (Sarah Paulson), along with fellow witches Myrtle (Frances Conroy), Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), and Madison (Emma Roberts).

The season is being billed as a crossover for two previous seasons: Murder House and Coven. Although Apocalypse is shrouded in the usual mystery of American Horror Story, the teaser gives a glimpse at what fans can expect from the September 12 premiere and beyond.

Much like the short teaser trailer released Tuesday night, which aired during the premiere of Mayans M.C. shortly after being released online, the full trailer gave more context as to what audiences can expect from the new season, including the introduction of some creepy new characters. So why wouldn't Ryan Murphy and company combine them when bringing the antichrist that Vivien Harmon birthed at the end of season 1? Even Jessica Lange is returning for one episode, directed by Paulson, marking her first AHS appearance since Freak Show ended in 2015. Apocalypse is going to be the best season yet and judging by the brand new trailer that's just dropped - we're in for a treat. How do the two very disparate narratives of season one and three come together?

Little has been revealed about the actual events of the upcoming season, with this new trailer finally giving us an idea of the horrors the new season has in store for viewers.
