The two had exchanged tense comments in the media over the summer - primarily with Mourinho urging Pogba to replicate his World Cup form in Manchester.

Pogba said "everybody was on the same page" in the France dressing room, from Deschamps to the staff and players - that has not necessarily been the case at United with several players at different times singled out for public criticism by Mourinho.

Brown, who played for United over 350 times, does not think the defensive crisis is as bad as people think.

"It hasn't gone well, but you've got to remember Jose Mourinho has spent a lot of money, but the Louis van Gaal signings I have to say were really poor".

Surprisingly, the Red Devils manager softened on Friday while reacting after Pogba's top performance, the 55-year-old said: "Pogba was a monster".

Pogba was also asked about the contrast playing for Red Devils and Les Bleus.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu did not rule out a move for Paul Pogba as he admitted there could still be business done before the transfer window closes in Spain.

The ACLU is using Carmen's story and the similar experiences of the other immigrants to challenge Sessions' ruling on asylum. District Judge Emmet Sullivan said the government appeared to have "spirited away" the woman and her child.

Barcelona have been linked to Pogba, but it remains to be seen if they have the resources to prize away a player that United will be desperate to keep.

And according to the Daily Telegraph, Mourinho is bemused by Pogba's comments.

Pogba excelled for France at Russian Federation 2018.

"I always love the club", he continued.

Pogba was pushed on his response and said that "if you're not happy, you can not give your best" when asked about what represents happiness and comfort for him.

The 25-year-old was handed the captain's armband for Manchester United's Premier League opener against Leicester City on Friday night and after just three minutes, he bagged from the penalty spot.

"Paul is one of the options, third season, made in the academy, understands the club, the culture, good relationship with his teammates and a good example today putting himself in the team".
