Job Made In Cat Heaven: Cat Sanctuary On Greek Island Is Hiring

Do you love cats and are in need of a job?

The job posting seems normal enough until you learn that the sanctuary isn't in some sad brick building lined with cages, but is instead located on the stunning Greek island of Syros, where all the cats run free.

God's Little People Cat Rescue is seeking a mature cat lover to take over the daily operations of the sanctuary on the Greek island of Syros.

In return, you'll be put up for free in a semi-detached tiny house with its own garden and stunning views of the Aegean Sea.

And now one lucky applicant will get to help take part in this sacred mission.

"I am looking for someone who can take over the daily running of my Greek cat sanctuary in my absence", Bowell wrote in a Facebook post on August 5.

Grassley: Kavanaugh Confirmation Hearing to Begin September 4
Kavanaugh will face questions Wednesday, Sept. 5, followed by testimony from and legal experts and people who know the judge. Grassley scheduled the hearings before Kavanaugh's records have been released. "He'll get confirmed.

Candidates should be comfortable handling feral cats and living in seclusion on a nature preserve that may be busy in summer, but is tranquil and quiet in winter.

According to the posting, this job is likely most suitable for those who are 45 years of age or older, and someone who is "responsible, reliable, honest, practically inclined - and really, with a heart of gold!"

Although the job posting has gone viral and spawned lots of amusing tweets, it's important to remember that the real mission behind the God's Little People Cat Rescue is no laughing matter.

It would be a long-term employment, requiring a minimum of six months as well as a volunteer period at the start.

The Facebook post states that the person who would be the queen/king of Greek cats will need to be able to administer the cats medication and it would be a perk if that person had a background as a vet tech or a nurse!
