However, Benjamin was not interested in listening to what Newton had to say. "If you would've put me with any other quarterback, let's be real, you know what I'm saying?"

For those who haven't heard, Benjamin didn't hold back in his public criticism of his former teammate.

In an interview with The Athletic's Tim Graham last week, Benjamin was asked how his career has gone since his rookie season and the receiver said he wishes he'd been drafted by another team and wished for another quarterback.

After all the negativity from the past week from Benjamin regarding Cam Newton, it's good to see something positive come out of last night's preseason debut.

Newton did not speak to the media postgame.

What a game! In a contest that had a little bit of everything, the Carolina Panthers defeated the Buffalo Bills by a 28-23 margin.
