With his victory this week, Johnson has now won at least three PGA Tour events in three successive seasons.

Starting Sunday in a four-way tie for the lead and in the final group, Johnson fired a six-under-par 66 and his 23-under total left playing partner Byeong Hun An (69) and Whee Kim (69) in his wake at 20 under.

"I just went back last night and talked to my coach on the phone and he said, "don't overthink it, just get some rest", said Reed.

Kim and An each shot 69 in the final round, which was interrupted by a almost 2-hour lightning delay.

Keegan Bradley made a rousing final round rally, carding the round of the day with an error free eight-under 64 to finish alone in third a further shot back.

The 27-year-old from Dundas, Ont., finished in a season-high tie for eighth place at the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday, and captured the Rivermead Cup as the top Canadian for the second consecutive year.

There was a logjam at the top of the leaderboard at the start of the final round with Johnson, An, Kim and Kevin Tway all sitting on 17 under and holding a four-shot advantage over the chasing pack.

"Definitely wasn't my best day", An said.
