Trump lashes out at Mueller for alleged conflicts of interest

The special counsel team investigating his campaign's ties to Russian Federation are scrutinising tweets Trump has made about his Attorney-General Jeff Sessions and former FBI Director James Comey, the New York Times reports.

Investigators want to question Trump about the tweets he wrote about Sessions and Comey and why he continued to publicly denigrate Comey and ex-deputy Federal Bureau of Investigation director Andrew McCabe, another witness against the president.

The tweet where President Trump said he was fighting back on the investigation.

The photograph, first published by Politico Playbook, shows Mueller seated reading a newspaper while Trump Jr. stands in a line on his phone in the background. Mueller's team is also said to be seeking information about a January incident in which Trump questioned White House counsel Don McGahn about reports the lawyer had told investigators about Trump's efforts to fire Mueller.

A number of Trump's claims are false: Mueller is a registered Republican, for one thing, and it's not true that the 17 lawyers who the Justice Department has said are part of his office are all Democrats.

Also, as has been thoroughly reported, former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos' own actions set off an FBI counterintelligence investigation months before the bureau sought a warrant to surveil Carter Page, the application for which partially cited the Steele dossier.

Real Madrid 'end Hazard interest' after Chelsea demand world-record fee
Hazard though has two years left on his current deal with Chelsea but has stalled contract extension talks worth £300,000 a week. It was well known that the goalkeeper was in their sights as there has always been a question mark against Keylor Navas.

There could also be probing into Trump's private meetings with Mr Comey and Mr Sessions.

Tweets where the President expressed his anger at Jeff Sessions for not protecting him from the investigation, for recusing himself, and for not investigating his political opponent.

Multiple reports indicated Trump interviewed Mueller for the vacancy, but it's unclear if Trump turned him down for the position before he was named special counsel in May 2017.

Giuliani said those who were allegedly present when Trump learned about the meeting also deny he knew about it. Therefore, the Witch Hunt is an illegal Scam!' Trump blared on the social media site.

The team will be in court on Tuesday for the trial of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, whose business dealings are under investigation. And he's indicted 12 members of the Russian GRU cyber espionage group known as Fancy Bear for the 2016 hacking of the Democratic National Committee.
