Jurgen Klopp drops hint on Daniel Sturridge’s Anfield future

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has defended his club's transfer policy ahead of the new season.

Liverpool had been expected to keep faith with Loris Karius despite the ex-Mainz keeper's costly errors in the Champions League final.

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has hailed the £67m signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson at Anfield, but has warned that the player might need a year to adapt to life in the Premier League.

Karius' exhibitions in pre-season have now angered a set of Kops and many supporters have urged Klopp to sell the 25-year-old before the transfer window closes.

The German's status as Liverpool's first-decision goalkeeper has likewise been lost after Jurgen Klopp's chose to spend £65 million on Alisson from Roma a week ago.

Chris Robson believes Mourinho has commented only to take off the weight of expectations from his own back, with Klopp not feeling "any more pressure". The problem is you have to invest well and honestly I think they did very well because every player they bought are quality players and I'm happy for them.

"I think he'll bring success to the country, and I think the tournament which we did have, the World Cup which I wasn't able to participate in, but the boys did a great job over there".

The Dutchman has won six TTs overall at the three Grand Tours - the Tour, the Giro d'Italia and the Spanish Vuelta. Victory for Thomas would give Sky the luxury of having two riders legitimately vying for the Tour title next year.

"The boys have to enjoy their football, we have to enjoy our football, otherwise it makes no sense". "I like him a lot as a person and as a player especially. We know it doesn't mean you win (trophies) automatically", the Liverpool manager said.

"What can I say about that?"

"I don't think Mo would have always got injured in that situation, this time it was unlucky, but it is an experience that we can not have".

"We didn't know exactly if Alisson is available or not, but from a specific moment we realized obviously he is available and that's what the moment when we decided we want to go for him".

The caption of the video read: "Thank god we've got @alissonbecker".

"We bring in another one because we think we can make the next step like with Naby [Keita]. That's the insane part of the world, obviously, but we all are not really bothered about it as long as we are not involved".
