Watch Raptors president Masai Ujiri address Leonard-DeRozan blockbuster trade

After Kawhi Leonard reportedly requested a trade to the Los Angeles Lakers or Clippers, the San Antonio Spurs ultimately traded him and Danny Green to the Toronto Raptors for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl, and a protected 2019 first-round draft pick. I think the whole time he's been here I've talked to him maybe a handful of times, and I can count on one hand how many words he's really said to me.

Reports continue to swirl that DeRozan's biggest issue with the move, aside from the fact that he vocally wanted to spend his entire career in Toronto, was that he was assured by Ujiri that he wouldn't be traded. I mean, what can you do? One of the centerpieces of the Raptors during their recent resurgence, DeRozan was under the impression he wouldn't be going anywhere.

"I think there's a lot of sell here, our team, our culture, our city", Ujiri said. Ujiri apologized to DeRozan, his representation and his family.

League sources told ESPN on Wednesday that neither Leonard nor DeRozan was enthusiastic about the deal. He said he was not as clear as he should have been with DeRozan when they talked earlier this month. "I haven't gotten that sense from Kawhi Leonard or his people, and I'm going to give him that chance when we meet face-to-face".

Intelligence chief says on-stage laugh not meant as disrespect to Trump
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders claimed later in the day that Trump was saying "no" to answering additional questions. In contrast to many surveys about the president and politics, the Helsinki poll produced only modest gender differences.

Ujiri said Friday the fans were not forgotten in the trade decision but it's "hard to satisfy everybody".

Leonard was knocked out of the 2017 playoffs because of the injury and went on to play in just nine games in the 2017-18 season because of the injury.

"I'm not too interested in talking about the past", Popovich said of the Leonard situation.

Nichols, ESPN's host of "The Jump", started with questions about Robinson's work with IDEA Carver Academy, what Robinson was recognized for with the ENSPIRE award, but ended with question's about the departure of Spurs superstar Kawhi Leonard. "I look forward to meeting with them face-to-face, and that's our figure it out and to make them as comfortable as possible. I think we're pretty happy with the deal and we'll continue to grow and get better".
