Vladimir Putin slams 'pathetic' U.S. forces ready to sacrifice Russian Federation ties

Democratic US Representative Eric Swalwell said if Trump allowed Russians to question McFaul, "you can count on me and millions of others to swiftly make you an ex-president".

Mr Putin, speaking to Russian diplomats from around the world assembled in Moscow, said today the Helsinki summit had been successful.

Trump asserted Wednesday at the White House that no other American president has been as tough on Russian Federation. Ahead of a cabinet meeting Wednesday, he seemed to have answered in the negative - "No" - to a question if he believed Russian Federation was still targeting the United States. "TIME's new cover: Trump wanted a summit with Putin".

So many people at the higher ends of intelligence loved my press conference performance in Helsinki.

In a Fox News interview that aired this week after his controversial summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump pushed back when asked if he viewed Russia as an adversary to the United States.

This isn't "Time" magazine's first cover featuring President Trump.

The July 2 edition featured a photo illustration of Trump staring down a sobbing migrant girl, along with the phrase "Welcome to America".

"Certainly, I can't have any confidence in the past but I can have a lot of confidence in the present and the future because it's getting to be how where we're putting our people in", Trump said.

Standing alongside Putin on Monday, Trump deemed the suggestion an "incredible offer", but did not say he'd agreed to it.

Johnson says it's not too late save Brexit
In a BBC television interview on Sunday, Mrs May said she understood the strength of feelings driving the Brexit debate. Mr Davis continued: "Do you think the electorate would expect me to do something I thought was wrong?"

Mr Putin did not name names, but spoke of U.S. politicians who put their "narrow party interests" above the best interests of the United States and were powerful enough to be able to foist their questionable "stories" on millions of Americans.

When Trump said he couldn't see any reason why Russian Federation "would" have been involved in the US presidential election what he meant to say was "wouldn't".

In Moscow on Thursday, Mr Putin said Russian Federation was still open to building a good relationship with the US.

Strikingly, Mr Trump said he misspoke when he appeared to take Mr Putin's denial of interference at face value and said he accepts Moscow sought to influence the 2016 vote. It would have just made things worse if I had stood next to him and called him a liar.

Last week, Coats said that Russian Federation and other countries are continuing to target US businesses, the government and other institutions, and that "the warning lights are blinking red".

"What I find absolutely remarkable ... is they'd had 27 hours to figure out, 'How are we going to deal with this?' And you supposedly have the best spin doctors working for the White House", Dori said.

This, however, seemed to put Trump once again in opposition to USA intelligence agencies, specifically an earlier statement by National Intelligence Director Dan Coats, who said Moscow was involved in "ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy".

"We see that there are forces in the United States that are easily ready to sacrifice Russian-American relations for their own ambitions", Putin said in a speech to Russian ambassadors gathered in Moscow.
