Interiors for the show were shot on a soundstage, but to make the home look bigger, a fake window was added to make it seem larger.

With two bedrooms and three bathrooms, the house is a good size for a small family, but would be a bit of a squeeze for three adults and six kids.

The split-level house in Los Angeles' Studio City neighborhood was used as the exterior of the home that Carol and Mike Brady's famously blended family lived in throughout the hit TV series' run from 1969 to 1974. And it carries the very California price tag of $1.885 million.

The home was purchased by Violet and George McCallister in 1973 for $61,000, the Times said, according to the Times. The listing calls the proerty "the second-most photographed home in the United States", after the White House. A MusiCall intercom, floral wallpaper, wood paneling and stone fireplace have been meticulously maintained.

The house sits on a 12,500 square-foot lot that borders the Los Angeles River.

"We're preparing for an avalanche", said Carswell to Tribune Media.

Real estate firm Douglas Elliman is bracing for a flood of interest, listing agent Ernie Carswell told the Los Angeles Times.

Carswell said the owners are most interested in buyers who will preserve its legacy, rather than developers seeking to tear it down for new construction projects.

"I just don't think we can have a Sunday open house where 1,000 people show up", Carswell told the Times.
