President Trump said that he doesn't see any Democratic challenger who could beat him in the 2020 presidential election. "But you know the parents are put in jail essentially, you know they came in illegally".

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump arrived at Windsor Castle Friday evening outside London to meet Queen Elizabeth II and be treated to the kind of royal pomp-and-ceremony the president loves and the British love staging.

After the interview caused some backlash in Britain, Trump eventually scaled down his criticism of May, claiming that the Sun reporters had left out the good things he said about her. "I also said that this incredible woman right here is doing a fantastic job".

Trump walked ahead of the 92-year-old while inspecting troops and did not bow when he met her - a couple of minor protocol breaches - but the meeting went smoothly. "That is a attractive woman".

"And very lovely. It was really something special", Trump said of the meeting.

Johnson "would make a great prime minister", Trump said.

"She is so sharp, so wise, so attractive".

Trump described the queen as "a tremendous woman" in the interview.

Prior to his arrival in the UK, Trump scorched her policy towards the European Union divorce in an interview with The Sun newspaper that shocked Britain's political establishment.
