Carmelo Anthony might find a new team sooner rather than later.

Anthony is due $27.9 million next season but is expected to be traded or released through the NBA's stretch provision, with the Thunder able to allocate his cap hits over three years.

Despite a poor year in Oklahoma City, during which the four-time Olympic gold medallist nearly became unplayable during the Thunder's miserable first-round playoff loss to the Utah Jazz, there are no shortage of teams reportedly interested in acquiring him.

Luc Mbah a Moute, who averaged almost 20 minutes per game over two seasons with the Clippers before heading to the Houston Rockets, has reportedly agreed to a one-year, $4.3 million deal to return to Los Angeles. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported the signing Monday. The 31-year-old forward played in 61 regular season games, averaging 7.5 points and at least one steal a game.

Furthermore, Yahoo Sports' Jordan Schultz reports that Chris Paul is encouraging the Rockets to sign his good friend Carmelo, and ESPN's Dave McMenamin says Melo's business manager recently spent time with Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni and team owner Tilman Fertitta.

Mbah a Moute, who had a one-year deal worth $2.1 million last season, turns 32 in September.

The 34-year-old is coming off his worst season in the National Basketball Association, as he posted career lows in scoring average and field goal percentage last season. The Rockets need Capela if they want to remain an elite contender in the West.

Green originally signed with the Rockets on December 28, 2017 and averaged 12.1 points over the remainder of the season.

Over the past seven seasons, Green averaged 10.8 ppg in 21.5 mpg.
