No absentees for England training ahead of World Cup semi-final

With a team featuring Davor Suker, Zvonimir Boban and Robert Prosinecki wearing blue shirts with a distinctive red and white chequerboard pattern, they beat World Cup giants Germany 3-0 in the quarter-finals in France, sparking delirium at home.

England beat Sweden to reach their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.

Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic celebrates with his team-mate Danijel Subasic after winning the penalty shootout against the hosts Russia during the 2018 World Cup quarter-final match at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi, Russia on Saturday. They also helped Fox hit new ratings highs for its coverage of this year's World Cup.

"We were unlucky at previous tournaments but now we are collecting those debts this year", said Modric after Saturday's win over Russian Federation in Sochi.

"It's amusing because at first I didn't think I did look like him, but with all the people approaching me about it they can't all be wrong!"

Rated before the tournament as Russia's worst ever team, the hosts quickly went about proving their doubters wrong by romping to a 5-0 win in their tournament opener against Saudi Arabia, led by a Denis Cheryshev brace.

"We will not stop, we will try to play our best game then". Ignashevich, 38, is in fact quitting the game for good, acknowledging it was a hard decision to take but was quoted as saying that "I could have hardly imagined to end my career with such a highlight".

Experts say her muted wardrobe choices may be a sign of respect to the Queen, when attending engagements where she is present. Prince Harry complemented Meghan's bright dress in a navy blue suit complete with an olive green tie.

Luka Modric won the man of the match award for the third time in five games at this World Cup, with a superb array of passing from a deep role in midfield.

However, Rakitic ensured that Croatia prevailed in the shoot-out, their second in a row after beating Denmark on penalties in the last round.

Former Croatia coach Slaven Bilic, meanwhile, said his country will be aiming to exploit England's weaknesses when they are not in possession.

"But we believe in our strengths", he said. "We played at club level as well", says striker Mario Mandzukic, who played with Modric at Dinamo Zagreb a decade ago before the latter joined Tottenham Hotspur.

Croatia are not thought to have any injury concerns for the match, with all players available for Monday's training session, which attracted a huge media scrum including more than two dozen camera teams.

These two teams look to be evenly matched and there is a good chance we could go to extra time and even penalties. "More the other night (against Colombia) coming into Saturday", he added.
