Trump 'baby' to fly over London during president's visit

In a petition calling for Khan to rethink his initial decision to bar the Trump baby blimp from flying during the day of protests against the US president, Murray wrote that not only is Trump "a big, angry baby with a fragile ego", he is "also a racist demagogue who is a danger to women, immigrants, and minorities and a mortal threat to world peace and the very future of life on Earth".

London's mayor gave permission for the balloon to fly in Parliament Square when Trump visits on July 13. And on his departure, Mr Trump will be "piped out" by the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

But after a lot of backlash from MPs and more than one million people signing a petition against the trip, a date has still not been set for the state visit.

Smyth's inspiration to create the Trump Arms came after conversations with customers who, he said, "were appalled that all there was for the President's arrival was protests".

During his visit to London, Trump will not get a full state visit, nor will he address Parliament, which is typically an honor for a visiting world leader, Vox reports.

That will be about the extent of Trump's exposure to London.

Speaking to Sky News, the activists behind Trump Baby explained the project's rocky start.

Trump's avoidance of London sparked speculation that he is trying to avoid protesters on Downing Street.

He added: 'All this nonsense means other players attempt to provoke him even more, and he must be intelligent in these moments. But, Axel Witsel's presence in midfield is vital, meaning Mertens remains the only expendable player in attack.

I think Donald Trump has ignorant views about Islam.

U.S. Ambassador Woody Johnson told reporters on a conference call today that Trump "appreciates free speech both in this country and in our country - it's one of the things that binds us together is the freedoms that we share".

Smyth expressed doubts that the president would stop by for a pint but said he would "have a pint of stout ready for him in case".

Trump will be given a presentation from the MI-6 intelligence agency and military leaders to show how Britain is fighting terrorists - in an effort to convince him that May is a tough leader.

After spending the night at Winfield House in London, hosted by his ambassador Mr Johnson, the president will join the prime minister to watch a United Kingdom military exercise, before the pair travel to Chequers - the PM's country residence in Buckinghamshire - for bilateral talks.

Khan has repeatedly spoken out against Trump, criticising his "ignorant" Muslim ban, his lack of respect for LGBT people and for "playing into the hands of Daesh" with his hateful comments. Later Friday the president will travel to Windsor Castle, west of London, for an audience with Queen Elizabeth II.

"I'm very pleased to tell you today the Scottish government beat that American golf course owner in court".

Dawsey reported from Washington.
