Spurs and Lakers Re-engage on Kawhi Leonard Talks

Could they all remain with the teams with which they played last season?

The Philadelphia 76ers are considering trading for Kawhi Leonard.

Lakers president Magic Johnson has a hard decision to make in trading for Kawhi Leonard. And there's a bigger play at stake here, of course. Kemba Walker is about as good of a player that the Cavs could conceivably acquire this offseason.

With LeBron James signing a four-year deal with the Lakers, Los Angeles may have gotten more appealing for Leonard, who ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said is focused on the west coast.

ESPN reports that the Lakers are weighing how much to give up for Leonard, who, it has been reported, wants to be traded to the Lakers and eventually plans to sign with them when he becomes a free agent in 2019.

Another thing Philly must think about is if Leonard will potentially sign with them long-term.

George is in a similar situation as James.

"The last straw for him, I was told, was when Tony Parker made those comments about 'my quad injury was 100 times worse.' And if you remember, shortly after, Kawhi Leonard left San Antonio and didn't want to be a part of that media glare there, and did not come back until the season was over with". After they did not make the trade, George was traded to the Thunder and one year later re-signed with them.

Oluseye Oladejo, also hinted that the State Government would be investigating the accident to prevent future occurrence. House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa also condoled with the families of the victims.

But winning a title next season might not be George's only motivation.

Leonard pitched James on his incredible defensive ability and how it would alleviate the pressure on James, the source said.

Still, the Lakers continue to pester San Antonio about the former NBA Finals MVP.

According to Jordan Schultz, the Spurs are asking for three first rounders AND two young players.

The challenge to woo the Spurs into shipping Leonard to L.A., however, is daunting. No team is going to trade promising young players and draft picks for a one-year rental.

However, the Lakers could receive some help from Leonard, who is due to become a free agent next summer.

Last month, The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor quoted multiple National Basketball Association executives as saying San Antonio would not settle for anything less than a "grand-slam" offer for Leonard.

Despite the Lakers' perceived interest in Kawhi Leonard, Bleacher Report is citing that the Lakers have not put together an aggressive offer for him. In Tobias Harris, the Clippers have the best current player, but they can't offer the different level of prospects that the Lakers have in guys such as Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma.
