While it's not exactly new, as people have been adding music to the background of their stories with Spotify, the app is now making it much easier for users to add music to their stories with their new in-app feature. Music can be chosen based on mood, genre, and more, and can be added before recording or afterwards.

The music sticker is available as part of Instagram version 51 on Android and iOS in select countries. With these, you can either add music before or after you capture a Story. This resolves a common user complaint regarding the inability to record an Instagram story while playing music from another app.

When friends see the story, the song will play automatically. "Now you can add a soundtrack to your story that fits any moment and helps you express how you're feeling", the company said in a post.

Senegal put out of World Cup by harshest clause ever
The high-risk strategy could easily have gone wrong for Japan had Senegal equalised against Colombia in Samara. Jan Bednarek scored the only goal of the game as Poland signed off a disappointing campaign with a win.

Users can also select a song even before a video has been captured. The ability to choose a song before capturing video is now iOS only. Instagram vows to roll out that particular option to Android users in the future.

On Thursday, Instagram announced that they have 400 million daily users of their app, which is nothing short of insanely impressive. There will also be a sticker that shows the song title and the name of the artist.

The feature is now available only in a few selected countries and Instagram is working towards launching the feature in more countries.
