JUST IN: Two die in another Lagos accident

NAN reports that the incident, which occurred at about 5:30pm on Thursday, left about 54 vehicles burnt, with at least nine people dead and an unspecified number sustaining various degrees of injuries.

"Motorists are advised to avoid the scene of the inferno". The driver was said to have been moving at top speed and it was said he drove recklessly.

Commissioner for special duties, Mr. Oluseye Oladejo, also hinted that the State Government would be investigating the accident to prevent future occurrence. Petrol is transported via badly maintained roads and vehicles.

The incident occurred Thursday morning after a commercial bus (popularly known as Danfo) in an attempt to evade officials of the Lagos State traffic agency rammed into Hummer bus. I can assure you that we will investigate the issue and inform residents our outcome.
