USA prepares for North Korea's return of American war remains

North Korea agreed during the June 12 summit between its leader, Kim Jong Un, and President Donald Trump, to return USA war remains.

North Korea still poses an "extraordinary threat" to the United States, according to an executive order signed by Donald Trump. "Now the hard work to bring the initiative to fruition begins", Harman said.

"They've already sent back or are in the process of sending back the remains of our great heroes who died in North Korea during the war", said Mr. Trump.

North Korea still possesses hundreds of ballistic missiles, which have not been dismantled, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said.

It will depend on which facilities it destroyed at Sohae - one of several sites that have been used for the development of the North's ballistic missiles, said Jenny Town, a research analyst on North Korea at the Stimson Center think tank in Washington.

Past year 7,500 USA soldiers and 3,000 South Korean troops took part in the Freedom Guardian exercises, which the Pentagon has always maintained are purely defensive.
