Cynthia Nixon celebrates #TransDayofAction with a post about her son

"Sex and the City" star Cynthia Nixon, who is now running for governor of NY, has revealed that her eldest child is trans. Back in March of this year, the Sex And The City star revealed that she was running for governor of NY, in competition with the current democrat, Andrew Cuomo.

In the post, she mentioned how proud she was of Samuel, who goes by the nickname Seph, and that she "salutes" him. They have another 15-year old son, Charles.

In a heartwarming picture on Instagram, Cynthia posed with her son at his graduation ceremony at the University of Chicago.

Seph, 21, is Nixon's son with ex-husband Danny Mozes. Today, and every day, we stand with trans New Yorkers! Previously, Nixon's former co-stars endorsed her running for the governorship, with the exception of Kim Cattrall.

Trans Day of Action began in 2005, and is an annual rally and march held in late June in New York City.

She married galpal Chistine Marinoni in 2012.

In March, the SATC star surprised the state of NY by announcing that she was running for governor against fellow Democrat Andrew Cuomo.

Nixon is a big underdog in the governor's race but she's making waves, calling for the abolishment of ICE this week in the wake of the immigration controversy.
