South Korea wants railroad link to Russian Federation through North Korea

South Korea and the United States announced a joint decision early on Tuesday morning to suspend this year's iteration of the Ulchi-Freedom Guardian computerized command post military exercises.

"Following close cooperation, South Korea and the USA chose to suspend all planning activities for the UFG, the defensive exercise slated for August", Seoul's Defence Ministry said. "No decisions on subsequent wargames have been made", CNN quoted White as saying.

South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha, speaking to foreign journalists in Seoul on Wednesday, revealed that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo does, indeed, have a plan for North Korean denuclearization, and spoke about what kind of role she anticipated South Korea would play in the process.

Without the guns in place, it's likely the US or South Korea would have staged an invasion in place at some point during the decades-long military standoff.
