The BlackBerry Key2 smartphone packs extra security and a physical keyboard

BlackBerry KEY2 has a redesigned intelligent keyboard as well as a 4.5-inch touch display that includes 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass which offers increased scratch resistance.

The new KEY2 is BlackBerry's first smartphone to feature a dual-rear camera [12MP], and introduces "Speed Key" for easy app access at any time.

The company says that the Blackberry Key2 is the most secure Android smartphone with enhanced security and privacy features like DTEK by Blackberry, Locker Private Zone App, Firefox Focus Private Browser, Private Shade, etc. We design them for security from the inside out and we're proud to partner with TCL Communication on the launch of their all-new BlackBerry Key2.

Alain Lejeune, senior vice president of TCL Communication and president of BlackBerry Mobile, said smartphone makers seemed to be locked in a race for uniformity. On the front, there's an 8MP sensor with Full HD video recording. The entire device is powered by a 3,500 mAh battery which supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0.

The Blackberry KEY2 is a niche device, but it's worthy of your attention if you yearn for a physical keyboard option in 2018. The new Key2 runs Android Oreo 8.1 with the BlackBerry features also included.

As had been discussed through leaks, the BlackBerry KEY² looks a lot like its predecessor and is a continuation of the KEYone in many aspects if not all.

However, scientists have struggled to isolate the impacts of climate change on the characteristics of extreme weather events. Yet tropical cyclones, which include hurricanes , have grown more sluggish since the mid-20th century, researchers say.

Overall, the Key2 does seem to be a decent upgrade over the KeyOne, even though the display size and resolution remain the same.

We have received official word from BlackBerry Mobile that the KEY2 will be coming to South Africa, but as yet we have not exact dates or pricing. There are dual 12MP cameras out back that are complimented by a Dual Tone LED dash.

The BlackBerry KEY2 launch event is scheduled to kickoff at 10 am EDT. At the bottom of the display are three capacitive menu buttons, and the fingerprint sensor rests on the space bar.

TCL has kept the battery life of the BlackBerry Key2 same as it is in the KeyOne.

In 2015, BlackBerry said it would do away with its own operating system and instead use the Android OS with a BlackBerry skin.

Although the KEY2 will be available for buying in the West this month, in global markets (including in India), the phone will be available for buying in July. The phone will begin shipping globally this month, with the worldwide retail price starting at US$649. As while smartphones like the KEY2 are not the most spec-heavy handsets now available, the KEY2 specifically is one that offers consumers something a little different to the rest.
