Golden State Warriors win title, LeBron James reveals broken hand

Stephen Curry scored 37 points and Kevin Durant was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive year after 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists - his first finals triple double.

In one corner was Stephen Curry. He already had more points than in that 11-point outing. Andre Iguodala returned to the court and chipped in with eight points in 22 minutes of action.

The Game 1 loss was "very emotional" for the National Basketball Association star. "It's going to be shots from all over the place", Curry said. His nine quick points sent the Warriors to a 13-3 lead. Appeared in their 26th NBA Finals game, moving past Atlanta/St. Louis into 10th place all-time.

The Cavaliers got back to within 11.

It was an unfortunate result for the Rockets, they lost Chris Paul to injury for the final games of the series.

The 84-year-old Brown was checked out by doctors in the arena, and will not be working the game as an analyst. Smith, who's 2018 Finals run got off to a rough start and never quite straightened out, shot just 31 percent from the floor in the Finals.

It is the Warriors' third title in four years, and Durant's second in his second season with the team.

Playing with a broken hand-and for more than one game-is in itself an incredible feat.

If LeBron can't make history by coming back from a 0-3 deficit in the NBA Finals, this will likely be the last time he'll wear a Cavs uniform. The Finals MVP was first handed out in 1974.

Curry was in irresistible form for the Warriors in game four. James had two MRIs during the series and iced the hand after games.

It's also the only way the Cavaliers can survive. It isn't meant to absolve him from not winning the series.

Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said his team has not given up on itself.

"I was there in the Hamptons when we had that discussion", Kerr said.

"I have no idea at this point", James said after the game. "He has a lot of things going on as well".

With the NBA Finals now complete, here today we bring to you episode fifteen - analysis of the season-ending fourth and final game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.

Plus, Golden State will get better. It's been our most hard season.

But if it happens, at least he'll be in elite company.

The Cleveland Cavaliers trailed by 25 points and LeBron James was showered with chants of MVP as he was replaced with under four minutes to go in Game 4 of an NBA Finals sweep.

If James were to join a team with two superstars, that came within one game of defeating Golden State, he may finally have a chance to beatt the Warriors again.

The other four guys to be twice-swept?

For Golden State, though, Friday night's victory moved the franchise into rarefied air.

The Warriors look very much built to last, and no matter where LeBron James goes this summer it'll probably be Golden State as the prohibitive favorites to win it all again next year. Since then, the earliest any title series had ended was June 12.
